It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Tavern Products, Inc., after 68 remarkable years in business, will be closing its doors. Since our founding in 1956, we've cherished each moment of serving you, our loyal customers, with our Tavern Cocktail Mixes that have become part of your homes and celebrations.
This decision does not come lightly. The relentless rise in raw material costs, production expenses, and freight charges has stretched our capabilities beyond what we can manage while keeping our prices fair and competitive. We had a potential buyer lined up, but even they realized that the market forces were just too much to overcome. Despite our best efforts to adapt and innovate, we've reached a point where continuing operations is no longer economically viable.
We want to express our deepest gratitude for your patronage, trust, and the countless memories we've shared over the decades. Your support has been the cornerstone of our success, from the early days under the Ginger Beer Company of Los Angeles to Bob Motley’s purchase of the Tavern Brand in 1968 to my wife and I purchasing the company from Bob’s grandson in 2003. Each product we've made was imbued with care, reflecting not just our commitment to quality but also our bond with you.
We are immensely proud of what we have achieved together - the laughter, the gatherings, and the traditions that have been built around our products. We will miss being a part of your lives, but we hope that the memories of our contributions to your celebrations and daily joys will endure.
As we prepare to close, we are committed to assisting you through this transition. We will fulfill all orders as long as we have inventory with the same dedication to quality you've come to expect from us. Please let us know if you would like to place any orders before our final day of January 31, 2025.
Thank you for being more than just customers; you've been part of our extended family. We will carry forward the lessons, friendships, and experiences from Tavern Products into our next adventures, wherever they may lead.
